Improvements to Divestock coming soon
Story posted on February 25, 2008
Well, Divestock's been running for about six weeks now and I've had a chance to see how things are running and what work needs to be done to make the site better.
With this in mind, I've been working on some improvements to the graphic design of the site and, more importantly, on new features to make the site more of a destination in its own right.
Expect to see major improvements by the end of March. In the meantime, there will be some minor updates before then so keep your eyes peeled and be sure to recommend the site to your friends too!

I'm pleased to announce that members with approved profiles on Divestock are now listed on the live website. The first of several methods for browsing and viewing member profiles is by country and region which provides a quick and easy way to find members in your area.
Existing users are encouraged to log into their accounts to make sure that their profiles are as complete as possible as this will help to ensure that they get the best use out of their listing.
If you have any feedback on the new listings, please let me know!

Story posted on January 2, 2008
If you run a picture library or are a photographer with a picture library, now is the time to update your profile with details of your library website.
Divestock now has expanded profiles for picture libraries allowing you to include detailed information about your website including a description and details about whether or not the site is open to public viewing or requires registration.
To make it easier to spot where your profile is lacking information which could help promote your site, I've added new indicator to the account homepage that will tell you how complete your profile is and make suggestions on where you can add more information to make it complete.
To get started using the new picture library profile tools, log in to your account and click on the edit link on your account homepage.

Story posted on December 28, 2007
Now that Christmas is is out of the way, I've had a chance to do some work on the Divestock site to get it a little closer to launching. As part of the preparation work, I've added some important new tools to the site...
New account tools
The account homepage area of Divestock now has a new expanded layout designed to make it easier to use. There are new quick links to view a preview of how your public account profile will look once published and the extended profile form has been updated to allow you to specify what information is visible to users browsing your public profile.
I've also added support for specifying your region if you are in France, Germany or Spain. Other countries to follow soon!
New blog and RSS feed
To make it easier to keep up with changes happening on Divestock, I've added the blog you're reading now and an RSS feed which will allow you to subscribe to blog entries as and when they are published.
Public profile pages
I'm also nearly done with the formatting and layout of the public profile pages which will allow photographers and picture libraries to promote themselves on the Divestock website.
Once I'm through with preliminary beta testing, I'll be activating these pages and making them available to site visitors so be sure to check that your profile is up to date!
